For the last 9 months I have been a House /Assistant caregiver for a women in her 70s , it started out I was cleaning for her once a week , and her health starting deteriorating She has dementia. And she was a fall risk , in and out of the hospital. I still continued to clean her house even when she was not there , When she got out of the hospital she had an agency come in weekly, she did not like that , so she asked me too, she knew me and trusted me . I cleaned her house, did laundry, took care of her when she was sick , grocery shopped for her Meal prep, and cooked meals for her , she would leave me recipes in the cookbook everyday and we had fun making them she would supervise. errands , checked mail , took care of her cat , and took her to doctor appointments. I was there 4 hours a day 5 days a week per schedule, Unfortunately it wasn't enough and she had to go into assisted care living . It was a great experience I truly enjoyed helping her and being there for her !
