As a nurturing caregiver with 17 years of experience, I am passionate about fostering children's growth and development. My previous babysitting roles have solidified my desire to positively impact young lives. I believe in open and effective communication with parents and provide written daily reports, verbal communication at pickup, and regular updates via text or phone call. I am very comfortable enforcing household rules to ensure a structured and consistent environment for the children.

I enjoy a variety of games and activities with children, including outdoor sports, board games, and educational games that promote learning. I am comfortable caring for up to two children of varying ages and have experience with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-aged children, and even preteens.

Vergie recently provided childcare for our five-year-old son during a short two-hour visit as we search for a more permanent part-time nanny. She was engaged, attentive to our son’s likes and dislikes, and willing to be active while also setting gentle boundaries with appropriate redirection. We appreciated her calming and peaceful demeanor, as well as her flexibility with a few minor scheduling and communication hiccups. Overall, we had a positive experience and would be open to working with her again.

Vergie was with us for a year with my newborn. She was the biggest blessing, for our baby and our family! She would come early as needed, even last minute (which we did not expect). Due to her many years in childcare and being a mother herself, the knowledge and care she gave was impeccable. Although I was not ready to go back into the office, I felt completely comfortable leaving our baby with Vergie.  Go with your gut and hire her!

Vergie has cared for our son in a full time capacity since he was 3 months old (now 10 months). She is loving and so attentive to him and he loves her right back! She has become part of our family, and we couldn't have made it through this first year without her. She has kept him on a schedule and helped us navigate big milestones like nap transitions, starting solids, and crawling. She has so much experience with infants and has provided assurance that we as first-time parents so appreciate. She communicates any concerns or questions she has. In addition, she helps with any dishwashing and laundry for our son and keeps his room tidy. On top of it all, she's managed to tolerate our needy dog, and not many people can! We can't recommend her enough and will be sad when our time together comes to an end as we move out of state.

Vergie watched our 7 yr old son and is really good at what she does! She has tons of experience so she understands what night time routines are like for kids and was really sweet to our child. I would definitely rehire. 

Vergie has been with my family since October of 2022, since my child was 4 months old (he is now 1 year).  The only reason she is leaving us is because his waitlist spot has come available.  She is with him all day while I work from home (4 days/week) and while I go into the office 1 day.
Vergie is an all around good person - personable, great communicator and a loving nanny.  She treats my child as if he is one of hers.  Her experience in early childhood education through working in daycares along with her experience as a mother makes her experience invaluable.  I am a new mother and Vergie not only cared for my baby but me. I had some post-partum anxiety and Vergie guided me into a routine for us.  She comforted me and made me feel safe, as I came into my new role as a new mother.  While at work, she would send videos and pictures of baby, which made my day.  Vergie has become a part of our family and always will be.  
I recommend her over and over!  You will not regret the decision. 

Scheduled a meeting and she never showed up

Vergie was our nanny for our 1 year old son, watched him a few days a week for about 2 months. Initially she seemed reliable and kept pushing us to review her so we left a good review, but then started to show her true colors. 
On her last day with us, she left our 1 year old baby unattended, wandering around our living room which was not baby proofed, to grab something from her car. My mother thankfully happened to be home to notice this. When confronted, Vergie was very defensive, never apologized, and just quit on the spot leaving us in a bind for childcare for the rest of the week. Needless to say, we wouldn't hire her again as she didn't keep our child safe.
