Experience: 10 yrs
I have been in the medical field for over 26 years. I have been a certified nursing assistant all of those 26 years. I have been an end of life doula for almost 4 yrs. I love my job and I take great pride in my work. I have experience in respite care, in hospice care, wound care, Home Health and also working with clients with dementia and Alzheimer' s. I love taking care of my clients and making a difference in their life to make it better for them and for their families. I have good transportation and I am punctual and reliable. I have references as well. My schedule is very flexible. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. Have a blessed day.
Vanessa is amazing! She has been caring for our Dad for about 10 months now, and I don’t know where we’d be without her. Dad had a stroke during surgery in 2023. He is bed-bound and requires 24/7 care and assistance with all ADLs. He is at home, so our Mom is his primary caregiver, but she can’t work 24 hours a day. When Vanessa joined our care team in October of 2025, not only did she take on several shifts each week, but she also recommended additional caregivers to join the team as well, relieving us from the stress of finding additional caregivers in a very rural area. She took on the responsibility of helping ensure that Mom had coverage whenever needed, managing the calendar and care team to make sure that Mom was never without help for extended periods of time. Sometimes that meant working extra hours herself, coming in on her days/nights off, or staying at the house full time, so Mom could get a couple days off for a break. Whenever possible, Vanessa is there to help! Some of the tasks Vanessa has been responsible for with regard to Dad’s care are: skilled patient care, tube feeding, turning, wound care, and respite care. She’s also been a great help to Mom in other ways – just being there to talk to, listen, and guide her through this ordeal has been a blessing. Now that Dad is in hospice, we’ll be leaning on Vanessa as an end-of-life doula. Knowing she’ll be there to help Dad (and Mom!) through this is truly a weight off our shoulders. We wholeheartedly recommend her as a home health or hospice caregiver.
