About Valerie

I absolutely love spending time with children. Babysitting was my main source of income through my teens, and I built closer relationships with the kids and families I was helping to care for. I worked at an After School program for several years, which gave me a stronger foundation on teaching and learning with children. I'm happy to help around the house, with school work (or tutoring), and other tasks that may help make your life easier. I'd describe my personality as friendly, creative, attentive. I like working with kids because for me, nothing is better than talking, laughing, and building a kind of friendship with children. I love to learn about them, find out what they're curious about, what they dream of- and spend quality time focusing on those things together. Time with kids brings a lot of light into my life. In my spare time, I like to exercise, practice yoga, draw, read, and write.
