Hi! My name is Valerie and I am a former Infant/Toddler Teacher and a mom of two kids (7 & 11). I took a break from teaching to spend some time at home with my kids and explore some creative endeavors. I started babysitting when I was 13 years old, continued to do so throughout college, and I received a Minor in Family Studies. I also worked at a Health Club daycare center in college and as an Infant/Toddler teacher at Chelsea Piers Kids Childcare Center in New York City for almost 10 years. I am super crafty and I love thinking of fun and creative activities to engage and stimulate little minds. I love being outdoors and exploring the world through little eyes. Both my children are in school and I find myself missing those beginning years. I would still like to be available for my kids after school, so something part-time is ideal. I just ended a year caring for a wonderful 2-year-old girl because she started preschool.
