About Valeria

We feel so lucky to have Valeria as part of our family for almost 2 years. She started with us when our youngest daughter was just 4 months old and cared for her until almost age 2, while also helping with our older daughter (age 4). Anyone with kids those ages knows how physically/emotionally demanding that stage can be, balancing two kids with completely different needs, schedules, and personalities but she handled it all with amazing patience, energy, warmth, and skill. She became an integral part of our family and someone we trust completely with our girls’ safety, happiness, and development. She is incredibly dependable, punctual, responsible, and communicative, and we always knew our girls were in loving, very capable hands with her. What truly sets her apart is how she genuinely cares about our girls - she actively engages/plays with them, teaches them, nurtures them, and helps them grow into kind, curious, confident little humans. She consistently thinks of fun, creative, enriching activities for them, from library trips and music classes to imaginative play, outdoor adventures, crafts, reading, and learning activities. She has a background in childhood development, and it shows in everything she does. She is especially gifted in how she communicates with children and navigates difficult moments. Whether toddler tantrums, big emotions, transitions, sleep regressions, sickness, difficult phases, or just hard days, she is calm, patient and loving. She helped teach our daughters about emotions, communication, empathy, boundaries, and independence in such a thoughtful and respectful way and she truly helped us become better parents too. We learned so much from watching how she handles challenging situations with patience and consistency and she helped us become calmer, more even, and more intentional parents ourselves. She goes above and beyond - she’s very talented at organizing and always surprises us with new spaces organized and is always proactive and willing to help however she could, without ever needing to be asked. One of the things we appreciate most is how naturally she balances caring for two very different ages at once. Our infant and preschooler both felt equally loved, engaged, and cared for, which is no easy feat. She somehow managed to meet each child where they were developmentally while making both girls feel special/secure. Most importantly, our daughters absolutely adore her. The bond they formed with her is incredibly special and one of the main reasons she stayed with our family for so long. She became such a meaningful and consistent presence in their lives, and we will always be grateful for the love, care, stability, and positive influence she brought into our home. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Any family would be unbelievably lucky to have her. She is truly an exceptional nanny and an even more exceptional person.
