About Valeria

Hello! I am currently a student at moorpark college majoring in business while also working towards my private pilot license on the side. In one way or another I'm always learning new things and finding creative ways to retain information. I've had the great opportunity of passing on my knowledge to many of my students who have now flourished into great scholars. I began tutoring my sophomore year of high school with my neighbors 3rd grader as an afternoon activity but quickly fell in love with it. This student was very shy and didn't feel comfortable asking for help and felt vary anxious to raise his hand, as a parent you can imagine how heartbreaking it is to see a child be too scared to ask for help. I was determined to not only raise his confidence on himself and reassure him that it's perfectly fine to ask for help but also to help him believe in his own skills. Seeing him grow out of his shell was truly rewarding and ultimately what lead me onto tutoring for many years after.
