About Valeria

Hey, my name is Valeria. I specialize in working with children, mainly within the math field. When it comes to tutoring, I prefer to focus on the fundamentals that students will need in order to succeed in their higher level math courses. I have been tutoring with private 1:1 lessons for the past 6 years, and choose to work mainly with lower grade students. Almost every single struggle in a higher mathematics I have seen, has come from a weak foundation in math. My aim is to build this foundation for your child while they are still in the right stage of learning in order to avoid them having to go back and relearn everything when they reach higher level courses. If your child is in 1st to 4th grade, I am open to tutoring them in other subjects, in addition to math. 5th/6th grade tends to be where the math struggles begin, so once they have reached that age it is likely that mathematics will be taking up all of our time.
