About Valdiva

My name is Valda. I have worked as a professional nanny for >20 years and love what I do. I am a warm and energetic person, taking that approach into caring for children as well. In my spare time, I enjoy being the outdoors, going on walks, and bike rides. I typically spend years working for the same family, as I enjoy watching children thrive and grow into their own person. My most recent family involves care for now 10 and 7-year-old boys; I started when the youngest was 3 months old. It's been so fulfilling watching them grow and being a part of their daily lives. I also have experience caring for twins for >6 years. Throughout my career I've learned that each child (even within a family) can have different needs and it is important nurture. I am CPR certified (through Newton-Wellesley hospital's course) and I take safety very seriously. Typically, I am charged with ensuring everything related to the children is taken care of - including cooking balanced meals and laundry.
