I have extensive experience providing compassionate, patient-centered care to elderly individuals in residential and clinical settings. As a Certified Nursing Assistant and one who majored in psychology, I support older adults with physical, cognitive, and emotional needs, including chronic illness, mobility limitations, dementia, anxiety, and depression. My responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility, while promoting independence and dignity. I closely monitor for changes in behavior and health, promptly report concerns to nursing staff, and follow individualized care plans. I provide emotional support, use calm communication and redirection when patients are confused or agitated, and prioritize safety and comfort at all times.
