Hello, I am Uchechukwu - a highly skilled Governess and Nanny with a Master of Education and 18 years of experience providing families with exceptional childcare. My work is rooted in helping parents raise happy, healthy, confident and well-rounded children who are prepared to thrive in an ever-changing world. Over the years, I have provided a wide range of families with care tailored to their lifestyles, needs and preferences. This includes supporting the academic, social and emotional development of my charges, creating structured routines, traveling domestically and internationally with families, and much more. I am currently employed full time (for 3. 5 years) by a phenomenal family with high energy 3-year-old twin boys and their vibrant 5-year-old sister. Uchechukwu has been a true gift to our family. She has a warm and calm energy that is very welcoming and grounding for our kids. Uchechukwu is very punctual, trust-worthy, and loving. It wouldn't be an overstatement to say Uchechukwu saved our year! Because of Covid, we made the decision to keep our kids home this year and create a "pod" with another family, so we needed to find a caretaker that could both manage the older kids' kindergarten virtual learning and create an educational/play atmosphere for the little ones (2 and 3). Uchechukwu was the only caretaker we proactively reached out to because her profile (background experience, previous reviews, etc) was everything we were looking for, and I'M SO GLAD I DID. Uchechukwu is everything her references said she would be - reliable, warm, loving, dependable, responsible and more. From day one, her experience was so evident - she's truly fantastic with kids. Learning from home was a big transition, and she made it seamless. She somehow provides both structure and fun - the kids all adore her and this past year would not have been manageable without her help. Any family would be lucky to have her join theirs!

Uchechukwu joined our family in September 2020 to care for our two daughters (3 and 5), along with two other children from another family (in a learning pod). Due to COVID, it was unconventional, but Uchechukwu was able to jump right in and meet the needs of both our families.
Uchechukwu manage the atypical learning environment of virtual school, while supplementing the gaps that came with remote education. She also helped educate the younger children through a combination of play-based learning and standard workbooks.
Her communication with our families was always open, and Uchechukwu partnered with us to work through various scheduling obstacles.
Uchechukwu is passionate about her work and the children she cares for. While her laugh is infectious and the children really love her, she can be stern when she needs to be. She provides an environment where the children can learn from their mistakes and grow. She will be an asset to any family she joins next.

Ms. Uchechukwu(UC) is an expert in her profession as an elite nanny! She is also an educated and very experienced mentor for other nannies including myself. She believes that nannies can become and should be professionals with their care with children and their families.UC is definitely the one to contact for advice and questions towards becoming a nanny. She is very passionate, resourceful, knowledgeable, and experienced with caring for children and their families. UC gave an excellent presentation as the main speaker at an event held by Care.com in New York City which inspired me and other nannies. She continues to find ways to help families and nannies work together to give children the best care! UC is unique, creative, and talented in many child related activities. Children love the way she reads and tells stories with special sound effects where she is able get and keep their attention. I would highly recommend UC to families as well as nannies who can benefit from her expertise!

She is a lovely and extremely professional woman.  She is warm yet firm with the children and I feel very comfortable having her in my home.  I feel very grateful to have met her.

She is very friendly and easy going person. Always on time and very responsible of what you ask her to do. She always keeps us updated with whats going on and makes It more relaxing when you are out. I really recommend her, so far we are very satisfied with her job. 

Uchechukwu was punctually and very professional. She very organized with time yet flexible. She showed me her schedule and worked with me to fit in mine.She was extremely pleasant to talk to. She is very good with kids as we went out to eat after the interview. I definitely recommend her. 

Uchechukwu has been a huge help for our family - capable and confident with our 3yo and infant, happy to adjust to whatever we need, great at entertaining the very busy toddler, and lovely to have in our home. She's reliable, punctual, and thoughtful. Our daughters LOVE her, and we're so happy to have found her. 

We recently interviewed UC and offered her the position but unfortunately our scheduling needs just didn't align as we initially thought.  We were bummed because we thought she was a wonderful fit for our family.  We were so impressed with her professionalism, warmth and experience.  And then, she went above and beyond giving us some recommendations of colleagues who she thought may be a good fit for us and we were thrilled with them both and ended up hiring one of them.  I would highly recommend UC and hope to have her fill-in for us when possible!

I recently interviewed UC and was instantly impressed.  She had plenty of relevant experience and the way she described a "typical day" was aligned with what we would like for our two boys.  When visiting our home, she really connected with our son and he had a fantastic time playing with her.  She seemed incredibly mature, responsible, engaging and fun.  Some logistical circumstances prevented us from hiring her, but she was at the top of our list.  I think she'd be a wonderful caregiver for anyone looking.

I was looking for a sitter to cover mornings for me until my son's full day of school schedule started. Uchechukwu was amazing with my children from the day we interviewed her. My son immediately shared his precious Legos with her. She is mature, warm, funny and very responsible. My husband and I feel very comfortable when she comes over to babysit both our children. Both kids get very excited when she comes over. We highly recommend Uchechukwu (UC) to everyone.

UC has worked for us for close to a year now, and we couldn't be happier! She is responsible, reliable and dedicated, and has a great worth ethic and strong moral character.  And most importantly, our kids love her! They have fun doing arts and crafts with her, baking, playing sports, and just having fun.  UC is incredibly sweet and has the most calming and pleasant disposition.  She's been a great addition to our family and we highly recommend her.

Uc is an extremely sweet, smart, professional woman.  We interviewed her for a nanny position.  She was very courteous, respectful and my children really liked her.  I did too!  I have a few more people to interview before I make the final decision but Uc is definitely one of our favorites.
