About Tyra

I'd describe my personality as bubbly, funny (if I do say so myself), and friendly. I like working with kids because I believe all children are capable of doing things they haven't even dreamed of. I'm looking for a job that provides the flexibility to engage in various types of play, but also provides structure with a schedule. I started working with kids in middle school as a "mother's helper". In high school I began babysitting alone. I also began working in the nursery during church services. In college I volunteered with the Big Brothers, Big Sisters organization. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, knitting, taking care of my plants, going to farmer's markets, and baking. One thing you should know about me is that being a Christian is a strong pillar of my life. My skills include good speaking skills to provide direction effectively, good listening skills and attention to detail to follow the parents' instructions, and good decision-making skills.
