I have been working as a PCA and caring for those with dementia for over three years now. At my current employment my daily tasks can include: escorting residents to and from places, redirecting if necessary, companionship, leading activities, coming up with different activities, assistance with dressing, meals, toileting, and showering. Although I am not state certified to pass medication, prior to starting at my current company, I was working privately in home care and would often administer medication to that patient.
