About Tya

I have been a caretaker for five years now working with kids of all ages from infancy to middle school aged. I genuinely love children and enjoy spending my time with them. I am passionate about not only caring for their physical needs and safety but also being a warm loving presence to them while nurturing their development and teaching them about their world. The most fascinating thing to me is how children at all stages are constantly observing and soaking in so much - I love watching their wheels turn. I earned a degree in exercise science from UT Austin in 2021 and my studies did include some child development. I began nannying during college and I have continued to do so since graduating. I volunteer with Child Advocates (CASA-Court Appointed Special Advocate) working with children who are in the welfare system. I spend time communicating with parties on the case, visiting and getting to know the children, and ultimately advocating for their best interests to a judge.
