I just spent a fulfilling three years taking care of adults with developmental disabilities. Unfortunately, the job was in NY and my commute was becoming overbearing. Today, I'm a 24/7 single dad of a toddler in daycare, so don't have a whole lot of free time outside of traditional work hours but absolutely love the notion of giving back and respecting we all came from, not to mention where we could end up in time. My grandmother, only one I've ever had, just turned 94 recently and is still living well on her own. I'm very blessed, and would like to lend a hand to anyone who has a family member with somewhat of a more challenging hand at this phase of life.
