I started my career in early childhood education and development in 2000 while pregnant with my third child. While looking for daycare for my 3 young children, I found that daycare was very expensive, didn't cater to shift work mothers and weren't of much quality. So I decided to stay home with my children and help a few of my friends with their childcare issues. A year later, I started my own family daycare center, offering 24 hour care at inexpensive rates and creative learning for all children. My family daycare operated successfully for 10 years then my husband's job relocated us to Maryland for a short time. When I returned back to Philadelphia, I obtained a position as the lead infant/toddler teacher a school. I am now the mother of 5 and grandmother of 1 adorable little girl. I love motivating young minds to explore the world around them through play.

Tovia cares for my son when I have to go to school at nights and when his main daycare provider had closures. She is great, reliable and caring. My son loves her.
