About Tory

I have experience working with children from newborns to 12 years old. I started babysitting when I was 14 and volunteered at a day care for three years. I have worked at the largest summer camp in Southern California for two years where I won Rookie Counselor of the Year. I personally led my campers in swimming lessons, arts and crafts, dance, rock climbing, gymnastics, laser tag, and a wide array of games and creative activities. As an after school counselor I led homework hour and created fun and engaging ways to make studying enjoyable. During summer I created carnival games for over 600 campers and led the creative development for weekly camp events. I am passionate about media and teaching children media literacy. I have supervised a group of 20 children on field trips to Universal Studios, The Aquarium of the Pacific, The Science Center, and many other trips where I created fun and engaging learning experiences for my campers.
