About Tori

Hi families! My name is Tori , I am 20 years old, and I was born and raised in Middlesex county, New Jersey. I am a rising junior, studying psychology and sociology at Fordham University in New York City. After college, I want to get my doctorate and work as a therapist with children and adolescents. I'd describe my personality as extroverted, empathetic, and hardworking. I like working with kids because I enjoy being a mentor and safe space for children and adolescents. I'm looking for a job that is both consistent and flexible. I started working with kids as a daily volunteer with special needs students at my intermediate school from ages 9-11. Most recently, I was a peer mentor and conducted therapy sessions with a 15-year-old student under the supervision of our school's clinical psychologist. My skills include being CPR/first aid/AED, and defensive driving certified. I have experience with peer counseling and social skills training, and I am creative.
