About Tonya

I graduated from Eastern Washington University in 1986 with a B. A. in Special Education. I moved to California in 1986 and began my teaching and para-educator career. I taught Learning Handicapped children in Lake Elsinore, Ca. I also taught in inner city L. A. with severely emotionally disturbed children. I took a break in 1995 -2008 to become a stay at home mom and volunteered in my children classrooms. In 2008-2010 I worked at Ascension Lutheren school in the infant center. From 2011 to present I worked as a para-educator in k-6th grade classrooms with high functioning autistic children in the regular setting . I moved back to Liberty Lake , Wa. to be close to family who needs my help with a few family members. My preference would be to have one day off during the week to help my family members with their personal needs!
