About Toby

I spent years assisting children in dance classes at multiple dance studios from middle-high school. I am now in college, and have spent each summer working in child care. I spent a summer working at a YMCA in San Antonio as a child watch attendant and dance instructor, I spent a summer at Camp Watia in Bryson City as a camp counselor, and I have done contract gigs related to child care. This summer, I am going to be lead teacher of the 2-year-old room at the Early Learning Center of the First United Methodist Church of Sylva, but I will be available after 1 p.m. during the summer weeks since the summer lessons only run for the mornings. As a result of my past work, I have experience with children less than a year old all the way through high school age. I also have a lot of experience with individuals with disabilities, as I am at WCU with a minor in special education and work with the University Participant Program there on campus.
