About Tina

I have been an early childhood educator for 12 years. I have taught children ages three to six years of age and have recently received a substitute license that allows me to teach grades K-12. Earlier in my career, I was a lead teacher in a program that taught young children to read and taught parents to be advocates for their children's education. I love reading and have a strong background in teaching students reading comprehension and fluency. I like to make math as hands-on as possible. I believe math should be fun! I like to prepare my students to engage in the challenge of math. As a preschool teacher, I have worked with many children with diverse learning needs and have tutored children on IEPs to prepare them for kindergarten. I make it my mission to become my student's advocates to ensure that they grow, learn, and are supported in the way that works best for them. I believe teaching is a team sport, and look forward to the opportunity of working with your family
