About Tierney

I have a lot of experience working with children from newborns-12 years old. I love working with children because I love seeing things through their eyes and encouraging their growth and development. I enjoy reading, making crafts, going for walks, and playing at the park with the children I work with. I am comfortable with mealtimes, bedtime routines, and have experience dealing with a little separation anxiety. I'm comfortable with cooking and light cleaning, as well as pick ups and drop offs. I am very caring, compassionate, patient, and reliable. My current schedule is pretty open and am looking for a full time position. My pay rates are based on level of care needed, number of children and I do request to receive additional compensation for transportation with pick up/drop offs ($24-30/hr). I have had first aid and CPR training, although am not currently "certified" I would be happy to update my certification. References are available. Have a great day!

We enthusiastically recommend the child care services of Tierney B. Tierney cared for our two sons, ages 4.5 and 7, for 2 months in the fall of 2013. Her duties included picking each child up from their respective school, taking them to music lessons, facilitating play dates, and dinner preparation. She had a reliable personal automobile in which she transported our children. Tierney had many ideas for activities with children: from baking, to arts and crafts, to outdoor play time. She disciplined children age appropriately and was firm with her boundaries. Her arms were always open for a hug. As parents who both worked out of the home, we appreciated Tierney's excellent communication skills with us about current issues with our sons, messages from school, and reminders about upcoming planned activities for our kids.
