1 year of training in CNA skills and grief support plus volunteer work at the Center fro Conscious Living and Dying as a direct care, death doula. Two years as a private caregiver for a physically and cognitively challenged male. Six months as a caregiver companion for a mobile male Parkinson's sufferer. References available from both upon request. I prefer to work with males when personal hygiene is required. One client moves to skilled nursing in October, freeing 15 hrs/wk. the other returns to FL in early Dec. freeing 12 hrs/wk. Face to face interview to determine compatibility. I'm compassionate, intelligent, affable, gregarious, creative and patient. I do not get exasperated or frustrated and have a very calming disposition. Caregiving is also about helping the family. My rate is $25/hr.
