About Theresarose

Hello! My name is Theresa and I am an experienced 2-4th grade teacher who is great with children and has strong organizational skills. For the last 9 years I have been teaching in an ESL/ICT/General Education classroom setting as a 4th grade teacher. I am also trained in Orton-Gillingham , which is a structured literacy approach. It introduces the idea of breaking reading, spelling, and writing down into smaller skills. Being on a testing grade for the past 8 years, I am very familiar with the learning standards and New York State Tests. My bachelor's degree specializes in Childhood Education from K-6. My master's degree specializes in Special Education from Birth through sixth grade. In addition, I am New York State licensed in both degrees, general and special education. Lastly, while obtaining my degrees I worked at a daycare center. I have a love of learning and believe anyone can enjoy learning if study skills are tailored to their needs.
