Hi! My name is Tessa and I am a Queer Nanny who believes in Montessori learning. I am looking for 32ish hours a week since my last little one transitioned to daycare. I have always loved kids and with my 8 years of experience, I have looked after them in many capacities. I have cared for infants (3 -13 months), siblings, and elementary school children. I have worked as a full-time nanny, babysitter, house manager, behavioral interventionist, teaching assistant, and camp counselor. As a caregiver, I believe in fostering a secure attachment style, Montessori learning, and creating a nurturing environment to explore independence and identity. I curate home libraries for children and love going on adventures such as edible gardens, parks with water play, and petting zoos. I am very comfortable handling different schedules and those that adapt. I am no stranger to keeping data due to my work caring for a child of scientists and my background in therapy.

Tessa cared for our infant daughter for 9 months, and watched our toddler from time to time as well. Tessa provided daily care for our infant daughter including bottle feedings, diaper changes and naps, as well as physical and social development activities. She was committed to providing our daughter a rich life -- taking her on walks to nearby parks, library story times, and neighborhood chickens of course! (just to name a few). Above and beyond, Tessa also helped with dishes and general tidying, as well as snack and meal prep and laundry for the kiddos. Tessa was a joy to have in our family and a positive, loving, and inclusive force in our daughters’ lives.
