About Tessa

I bring nearly three decades of childcare and education experience. I have been a mother for 28 years and a grandmother for five, and began my professional childcare work at age 20 as a full-time nanny caring for1-year-old twins and a5-year-old. I later nannied for a newborn and young child as their mother returned to teaching. Over the past 30 years, I have cared for dozens of children for thousands of hours, from newborn through junior high ages. I also worked 11 years as a teacher's aide in elementary and junior high schools, supporting students with varied learning needs. In addition, I taught private piano and vocal lessons for 23 years, working closely with hundreds of children and families. My background also includes roles as an administrative assistant, art teacher, and choir teacher. I live on a farm, value hard work and responsibility, and genuinely love caring for children, creating a safe, positive environment where they feel secure and supported.
