Hello my name is Teshanna and I've been a tutor for over 10 years. I graduated from the High School of Fashion Industries June 2017 with an New York State Advanced Regents Diploma. As specified in my title I have years of experience tutoring students in Math, ELA and Social Studies I cater my lessons to my client's needs, their basis of knowledge that they have and client's request. I have been one the honor roll / Dean's list since the first grade. My first meeting is usually to get to know you and to give grade and subject appropriate testing in order to gauge your knowledge and better assist you through our time together. I use lesson plans, which I use to introduce the topic in a fun manner, usually starting with educational games that align with the topic and then going into the lesson. Afterwards, I make time for students to practice the material on their own by giving them a few problems. I have a 24 hour cancellation policy.

Teshanna has been helping/tutoring our children for about 3 years. We have 4 children, 5th grader, two 4th graders and a kindergartner. She tutors all of them, they all have their own issues and differences but she adapts and is able to teach them different methods if needed. Thanks to Teshanna our oldest has been accepted to one of the best middle school in the city and we are very proud and grateful. Hopefully she will keep tutoring them for many more years!
