About Teresa

I am a Montessori teacher with infant/toddler training and a Montessori certificate to teach 3-6-year-old children. I was the sole proprietor of a successful Montessori home school/daycare business for 9 years. I have 10 grandchildren and one on the way. God has gifted me with a lifelong love of children. I put that gift to work with decades of experience and training. After many years in the classroom at private schools, I'm ready to serve a family as a dedicated Nanny or tutor with maturity and energetic enthusiasm. I'm kind, gentle, musical and fun with an infectious curiosity about life to share with children. I've loved, taught and cared for more beautiful little people than I can count but there is always room in my heart for one more. I am a part time student at Dallas Baptist University, I attend DBU at night. I can only serve one full time family, so please contact me while I'm available, 7/25/20.

Teresa is wonderful! She took care of my 2-year-old and infant once a week for a semester. Having Teresa care for my kids was sort of like having an extra grandma to help out. She is incredibly gentle, kind, and patient - my boys were always happy to see her each week--and she is extremely observant about the personalities and needs of each child. She made counting cards for my 2-year-old, brought books for all the kids to look at, and even gifted my 5-year-old a copy of a dinosaur book that he loved. And whenever the kids' nap schedules allowed, she willingly helped out with light cleaning - it was wonderful to come home to a beautifully clean living room and kitchen on Monday afternoons! My kids' real grandma is moving to the area soon, but if I occasionally need the help of a "substitute grandma," I will reach out to Teresa again in a heartbeat.
