About Teresa

My primary goal is to help students reach their individual potentials by getting to know their individual needs, learning styles, interests, and goals and using such to create lessons and approaches that will best help them succeed. I have a genuine love for teaching and for helping others and feel that every student has unique strengths and skills that are often overlooked or hidden. I believe education can be empowering when educators take the time to help students discover or hone these individual strengths and skills. Background: - 20 years of experience in education as an instructional aide, personal tutor, and classroom English teacher - Have worked with students preK through adult in areas of reading, writing, ESL acquisition, math, test prep, study and organizational skills, and presentation skills - Have taught ESL to students - children to adults- from over 20 different countries
