About Tennessee

Hi! I'm Nesya (I like to use my Hebrew name, Nesya, instead of my English name, Tennessee). Connecting with other people has been the highlight of all my previous work - ranging from nannying to political organizing - and I would love the chance to connect with people in a new way as a companion. As a published writer and aspiring musician, I can connect with clients through different creative pursuits. For Jewish clients, I have the advantage of having majored in Jewish Studies at university in Israel, as well as having grown up with a foot in every major denomination. My mother suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) when I was little, so I am sensitive to the psychological toll of suddenly losing many of one's most basic abilities. I am also very close with my grandparents and have learned a lot from their life experience; I know I will have much to learn from clients as well.
