About Tenesha

I have been working with children for over 6 years, 2 of which involved working with children with mental disabilities and behavioral problems. My philosophy is to extend the parenting guidelines in my services. The best relationship is one where the kids feel as comfortable with me as they do with their own parents. As a former military officer, I love the outdoors and enjoy lots of different nature-filled activities. I do not consume processed foods, sodas, candies, etc and I avoid giving them to children as well. Thanks to my military background and graduate school training, I enjoy routine and believe that children are most successful when they can participate in a regimen that they enjoy. Expression and laughter are also very important to children's development so I do my best to foster an environment where a child feels secure in self-expressions whether it is through art, music, dance, etc.
