About Taylor

I'd describe my personality as patient, compassionate, and creative. I like working with kids because I love to teach and they're eager to learn. I also enjoy their energy and the enthusiasm they bring to something they really enjoy! I started working with kids when I was in high school. I led a Cub Scout pack, taught basketball summer camps, and tutored for the National Honor Society and Beta Club. Most recently, I have not had an official role with children, but often spend time amongst my nephews (4-9yr/old). In my spare time, I like to read about history, hike, relax at the James, and enjoy the company of my wife and three rabbits. One thing you should know about me is I am very knowledgeable in the core subjects of math, science, history, and English, with a more detailed background in earth sciences and geology from JMU, capable of helping with homework or tutoring. My skills include tutoring, entertainment (sports, reading, outdoor activities), and general cleaning.
