About Tatum

Hi! Since graduating with an elementary education degree, I have worked primarily in schools settings in various roles; both lead and support roles and am now looking to use my skills outside of the classroom. This past year, I was a tutor in a K-2 public school and really enjoyed the one on one interactions I had with learners. This summer, I was a nanny for two girls with an hour built in everyday to prepare the youngest child for 1st grade. We worked on reading and writing skills through interactive games and read-aloud work. The parents and I agreed that she made huge improvements in her reading abilities and confidence in reading I am certified to teach grades 1-6 and have experience in Kindergarten and Pre-K settings as well. One of my favorite things about my job is seeing a child's eyes light up because they're excited and confident in themselves for learning something hard.
