Can come to your house or library location as a homework helper. I'm patient and caring, and I know that sometimes it just takes someone who is not the parent to help get focused or get things to click. Having my own struggles in school especially with big projects, I can relate to sometimes just feeling like you need someone there with support. I would really enjoy helping younger kids with math. I may need to brush up on it, but I'd like to think I'm pretty decent at math and could help a family where the parents are not very comfortable with math or simply don't have the time to help a child that is not confident in the subject. I'm thinking 6th grade and below for math. I love writing. I wouldn't claim to be perfect by any means, but happy to help the student get going, help review for clarity and voice, and just be a source of support. I do not have an education background, but I'm willing to go with a lower rate while gaining experience tutoring.
