About Tara

I'm a proud UO alumni who has owned and operated a competitive cheer leading gym catering to ages 2-18 for the past 14 years. I'm currently in the process of changing careers, and am going back to school this fall to pursue a graduate degree in speech & language pathology. I'm CPR and first-aid safety certified, trained in concussion management and sports medicine (such as taping/light PT) and have an outstanding rapport with kids. Prior to opening a gym, I worked for a large-scale public relations firm and spent eight summers working as a summer camp counselor and working with the outdoor school program. I'm positive, patient, professional, creative, and an excellent teacher. As a coach, my teams have won multiple state championships as well as two national championships! I genuinely enjoy kids, and try to approach situations with humor and balance.
