About Tara

I'm 48 years old and married to a wonderful husband. We have been raising our niece since she was 6 years old, she is now 15. People describe me as being very caring, nurturing, and understanding. I love to make people smile. I worked at U of L Hospital in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit for 20 years. I decided that after 20 years, it was time for a change. I started as a PCA on July 15th 2002, my job duties and responsibilities included: Obtaining patient vitals. Performing phlebotomy and specimen collection. Perform glucose testing. Assist with patient hygiene and toileting. Perform trach and ostomy care. Perform and assist with patient dressing changes. Assist with patient transport. Maintained BLS certification. Monitored patient's condition. Use of various equipment. Assist with various tasks under the supervision of RN or Physician. Help maintain a clean work environment.
