About Taona

Hi!! My name is Taona, and I have experience caring for and supervising children and teens in both structured programs and community settings. As a Mentor with Summer Springboard, I supervised groups of students throughout the day, ensuring their safety, engagement and well-being from morning activities through evening check-ins. I led recreational activities, facilitated group discussions, accompanied students on excursions, helped resolve conflicts, and served as a positive role model and mentor. I also volunteered as a Youth Mentor with the Pembroke Housing Authority's after-school program, where I supported children with homework, supervised activities, and helped create a safe, supportive environment for learning and personal growth. I am patient, dependable, and energetic, and I enjoy building positive relationships with children while helping them feel safe, confident, and engaged. I
