Hello, my name is Tammy and I'm 53 years old, born and raised in Memphis, TN. Recently, I just got married and moved to Texas with my husband-Michael. We are both Christians, so I'm looking for a nice, loving family to help with their childcare needs. I love babies and children and have been caring for them since the age of 11 yrs old, training them in the basic knowledge of learning their A, B, C's to understanding difficult subjects like reading & algebra. I do believe that I have a special God-given gift to work with children. I have a Master's degree in Business Management-Health Services Administration and I have worked as a surgical tech, so I understand medical situations as well. I love building a child's character, doing outside activities such as playing games, sports, and getting regular exercise as well as providing a safe environment where the best learning can be achieved to produce a well rounded child.

Tammy B. has been a faithful volunteer on my team of youth workers for over nine years. She has the most vivacious personality and her love for the youth just exudes with every weekly visit to the center. She is always prepared with a great smile, music, an engaging lesson, and a bag of goodies to reward participation and show that she values all the youth. She definitely has a gift in relating to children and youth. In addition to what she brings directly to the youth, she also is a team player who exemplifies the qualities that one can really appreciate in a volunteer and leader initiative, creativity, dependability, flexibility, commitment, adherence to guidelines, confidentiality and respect for youth and staff alike. I am missing her already on my team, but I am confident that she will be a great asset to your service or any childcare or youth services provider.
