About Tamia

Hi Parents! My name is Tamia I currently work for the City of Oakland at a recreational center. I have been working with kids for about 4 years and have a lot of experience with all ages from infant to 14 years old. I also work for equinox kids club watching children while parents work out! My availability is very negotiable since my schedule for work is constantly changing. I like working with kids because I grew up with a lot of siblings that I had to take care of I am also currently studying sociology and child development at Berkeley City College in order to help kids in the future. It's something that comes naturally to me and I find a lot of joy in. I started working with kids four years ago working at the city of Oakland in programs like after school, summer camp, CAAP or mommy and me. One thing you should know about me is I'm extremely reliable and prioritize time management extremely well. My skills include patience, clear communication, and safety awareness.
