About Tameka

Hi my name is Tameka. I started 10+ years ago tutoring and mentoring through AmeriCorps. I ran a home daycare where I taught the children and engaged them in learning activities. I have worked as a home school teacher (7th and 12th) through Abeka Academy before COVID-19 and before we were forced into it. I have 4 children of my own (22, 16, 15, 12) and I'm a mom that's big on education. I have been a nanny for the past year working with a 1 and 3-year-old. Once kids were sent home, I became the teacher for the 5-year-old as well. They are currently attending private school in Cobb county, so I only work weekends with them now. I love children and I strongly believe in education. I am very patient and I develop a learning plan based on each child. Everyone learns differently and I try my best to find what works for each child. I look forward to working with your little ones.
