About Tamara

I have a passion for helping people. When I was attending school at BSU in my early 20s, I tutored at the BSU learning lab, assisting adults with obtaining their GED. I found it to be very rewarding, especially when I was able to help adults who were unable to read. I am a patient person and I enjoy finding new ways to help individuals retain information and acquire new knowledge. In my career, I became a food services instructor for a local nonprofit organization, training refugees and immigrants in the food service industry and assisting them in finding employment. Often, I had classes where five different languages were spoken, which taught me the importance of being versatile in my teaching methods and thinking outside the box to cater to each learner's style.
