Most of my pet experience has come from my own pets. I have never not had a dog when I was living with my family and regularly took care on my own when both of my parents were out of town. I unfortunately had one dog develop cancer, but this did give me experience in taking care of an animal with severe healthcare needs. Later when I started college I got a wonderful little cat who is amazing. In terms of professional experience, I have pet sit before for multiple families when on vacation and that included senior pets, puppies, and pets with healthcare needs.
