I love math! In high school, I noticed that my teachers taught formulas, but they didn't explain why the formulas work. So I had to teach myself. That is why I decided to become a math teacher: so I can help students understand why math works. I have tutored with several companies over the last 10 years. I have tutored students of all ages, from Kindergarten through college. I find more pleasure working one-on-one than working with a large class of students because each child learns differently. I like to adapt to the individual student's needs. For the last two years I have been working as the SAT and ACT Instruction Manager with a Tutoring company. As the manager, I was responsible for tutoring SAT and ACT and customizing all of my students' programs. I personally saw an average of 150 point improvement on the SAT and 4 points on the ACT. I saw a maximum improvement of 290 points on the SAT and 11 points on the ACT! Helping and seeing students reach their goals is amazing!
