About Sylvie

Sylvie has had extensive experience working with children of varying ages since she was 13 years old. Educated from kindergarten to throughout high school at Westside Waldorf and Highland Hall Waldorf Schools where in her senior year, she was assigned to mentor a child as they transitioned from kindergarten into first grade. She also frequently assisted her mother as she taught a dance class at First Presbyterian Nursery School in Santa Monica. Her college experience includes a semester at Hampshire College in Massachusetts, where she did a work study program on campus caring for the young children of teaching faculty. She subsequently studied Art and Art History at Santa Monica College and Sonoma State University. She has continued babysitting, nannying, and acting as a mother's helper in Sonoma and LA, carrying for children between the ages of 11m-13yrs and is excellent at engaging children creatively with art and play that inspires imagination.
