Hello! My name is Sydney and I have a love for all things education! I love seeing a student gain independence and confidence in themselves after persisting on a challenging math problem. I have been an elementary school teacher for 5 years, but have worked as a substitute teacher since 2015. I graduated from San Jose State University with a major in Child and Adolescent Development and received my Multiple-Subject Teaching Credential from California State East Bay. I am currently a 4th grade teacher in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. I am very patient and work with children with many different abilities. I am hopeful that you will give me the opportunity to share my love of education with your child.

Sydney was an intern in my fourth grade classroom from August to June, 2009-2010 (I think; I cannot remember the year. It was Sydney's senior year in high school.). Sydney returned to my classroom as a volunteer on a regular basis after graduation to this current school year. Sydney learns quickly, takes initiative, has great instincts with the students, and has a very positive, encouraging, yet firm interaction with the students. I treasure my time with Sydney. Her enthusiasm for teaching and learning was unwavering. I am hopeful that as she continues her academic career path, she will one day return to me as a student teacher. I highly recommend Sydney.
