About Sydney

I was a public elementary school teacher in GA for the last 7 years. Most recently I nannied for a family full-time as I transitioned from the classroom to grad school. I recently moved to Chapel Hill in August 2022 (to pursue my masters in social work). I have my BS in Early Childhood Education, an ESOL Endorsement, Gifted Endorsement, and my masters in Elementary Literacy & Mathematics. I am experienced with ESL and Gifted learners, as well as Resource/Special Ed. students, and International Students. I am a calm and passionate educator who thrives on meeting kids where they're at and re-engaging them in excitement for learning. I have a clean driving and legal record, and I am fully vaccinated/boosted against COVID-19.
