About Sydney

Hello my name is Sydney and I am a sophomore at Michigan State University. I am currently in the elementary education program with a birth-k endorsement. I am working toward becoming a kindergarten-2nd grade teacher, with a long term goal of owning a daycare. I have been working in childcare for 3 years. I consistently work at a summer day camp with ages pre-k through 5th grade. In the off season, I have worked at a daycare, specifically in the 2. 5-3. 5 age room, but have experience with both younger and older. I would describe myself as caring, comforting, and kind. I aim to create a close connection with children to make them feel as comfortable, safe, and happy as possible. My number 1 priority is always safety, while still being able to do fun and engaging activities. I also have a strong passion for both emotional and physical development, and try to include both in day to day activities. Overall, I love children, being with them, and helping them grow.
