About Sydney

Hello! My name is Sydney and I am a PhD student at Columbia University. I am currently looking for a part-time position for child care or tutoring in the evenings, or for assorted date nights, etc. because my program requires me to be on campus from 9-5 most days (but allows for some degree of flexibility). Most recently, I babysat for a family of four kids (all under age 10) in Chapel Hill, North Carolina while earning my Master's degree. I grew up babysitting kids in my neighborhood in high school and working as a camp counselor during my summers in college. I genuinely enjoy hanging out with kids and just getting to be silly and creative - It's a nice break from school! I love sharing my passion for science with the children that I get to hang out with, and I'm happy to assist in tutoring and homework, as teaching is also a passion of mine.
