About Sydney

Hello hello! My name is Sydney, I'm a VCU post grad (finished in '22) English major and Women's Studies minor. I've worked as a camp counselor and served as a mentor for several years at Carver Elementary in Richmond, VA helping with reading proficiency among their K-5 student base. I've served as the sole Experiential Learning Student Ambassador in partnership with VCU's University College Department, which is a position that has allowed me to gain a greater understanding of the diverse learning needs of a wide variety of students, and in turn allows me to put those skills to work in my tutoring and teaching endeavors. I am excited to be back doing what I love, as teaching is my end goal upon graduation!
