About Suzanne

Hello! I'm Suzanne. I am compassionate, energetic, dependable, honest, curious, and playful. I love working with kids because it's amazing to support and witness them having fun learning new skills, forming their own ideas, and developing their strengths. I believe teaching kids how to effectively communicate and regulate their emotions builds resilience for success. I started working with kids when I was 12 years old as a babysitter, worked in childcare part time throughout high school and then full time for about 6 years until my first child was born. I was a full time Mom of three and worked part time in retail while they were young. Since then, I have worked full time with infants, toddlers and preschoolers, people with developmental disabilities and brain injuries, and teenagers in residential treatment. My skills include calmly managing challenging behaviors, playful redirection, respectfully upholding expectations while validating children's experience.
